MAKING AN IMPACT IN OUR COMMUNITIES

Our mission at IMPACT 100 of Northwest Florida is to financially support nonprofit organizations in Northwest Florida by empowering women as philanthropists and leaders, by bridging the geographic areas of our region, and by leveraging the talents of women to be a positive force for good in our communities.

Join us in awarding transformational grants to nonprofits; networking with women in Okaloosa and Walton Counties; and truly making an IMPACT in our local communities.

Okaloosa Public School Foundation, Silver Sands School, is on track to complete the project in the Fall. The Silver Sands School serves students with significant cognitive impairments and physical disabilities from both Okaloosa and Walton County school districts. The goal of the school is to prepare students ages 3-22 for the productive life they will lead as special needs citizens in our community.

The GROWTH House will consist of a state-of-the-art greenhouse with hydroponic and aquaponic (utilizing live fish to naturally fertilize crops) systems for growing plants. The GROWTH House will be built on school grounds and promote the teaching of core subject areas, socialization, vocational rehabilitation, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, and relationships! They will plan a ribbon cutting after school is in session. Stay tuned...
