The Focus Area Committee review of grant applications is the heart and soul of our mission at Impact100 Northwest Florida. These $100,000 grants to nonprofits serving Okaloosa and Walton Counties will make a huge difference in the lives of so many in our community.
Whether you are new to the area, or have lived here your whole life, it is an eye-opening experience to get out into our community to learn more about the important work these non-profits are doing. It’s also a great way to meet other members, as the site visits are all done in person, as well as some of the training and follow up voting.
We encourage all of our members to join one of our FAC committees to be a part of this important process!
Key Dates:
July 31 – Last day to join a FAC
August 22 – 9 am – 12 noon – in person training OR
August 25 – 5 – 7pm – Zoom training
Month of September – In person site visits conducted
Early October – Final FAC voting to determine finalists, who will then be voted on by entire membership
Responsibilities:
To review each application within your Focus Area prior to the site visits
To submit questions about applications to your FAC chair prior to site visit
To attend at least 75% of the in-person site visits (you can still participate if you cannot meet that threshold, you just won’t be able to vote on the finalists for your FAC). Each site visit is exactly one hour, but will have a brief pre-site meeting, and post-follow up at site or nearby location.
To be an active participant in the site visits
To complete an evaluation form for each applicant
To attend an in-person wrap up, where everything is reviewed by your FAC, prior to voting
Committee Schedules:
Arts & Culture – Initiatives that will cultivate, enrich, develop and enhance the cultural, artistic and historic climate/aspects available within the community. Site visits will be Monday/Wednesday evenings

Typically, Family and Health & Wellness have the most applicants and therefore, will require a little more time. Arts & Culture and ERP typically have the fewest. Please keep this in mind when choosing your committee.
